Hailing from the Mediterranean basin and being guided by the fascination for Africa and the Middle East, C’mon Tigre us a personal language, made from the fabric of jazz, afro-jazz, the rhythmics of hip hop, funk and dance-club music. No song conforms to one style as all push the exploration as much as possible. The result is a mixed, cosmopolitan record, which escapes from any label for the afrmation of a free attitude. This cinematic imagery pushed C’mon Tigre to translate their musical wandering into a visual form as they did with videos created for their 2019 release ‘Racines’. The desire to merge music and images was even greater this time.
‘Scenario’ is available as a standard black 180g vinyl edition and is also released in a coloured vinyl version that comes with a 64 page book of photographs taken by Paolo Pellegrin, housed in a gatefold sleeve. He is one of the world’s leading photojournalists and has spent the last 30 years documenting the world with specifc attention to issues regarding living conditions, poverty, sufferance and violence.
‘Scenario’ wants to tell about what defnes us as human beings: joy, connection, anger, sense of belonging, pain, anguish, violence, dignity. These are tales of someone observing with stretched ears.
